Overview
worldtimes.ai ("we", "us", "the site") provides world clock, time zone, and related utility tools. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, why, and what choices you have. We don't require an account to use worldtimes.ai, and we don't ask you to submit personal information to view a city's time, convert time zones, or use the meeting planner.
Information we collect
Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited, approximate geographic region, device type, and referral source. This is cookie-less and doesn't track you individually across sites.
Local storage (on your device only). If you save a Meeting Planner group or set a light/dark theme preference, that's stored in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device — we don't receive or store it on our servers, and it's cleared if you clear your browser data.
Standard server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs technical request data (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for operational purposes — security, debugging, and abuse prevention. We don't cross-reference this with any other data to identify individual visitors.
Advertising. If and when we display ads (via Google AdSense), Google may set cookies and use device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads based on your browsing activity, subject to your consent choices where required by law. See Google's advertising privacy policy for details on how Google uses this data and how to opt out.
Third-party services
Pages on worldtimes.ai pull in content from a small number of third-party sources to show real information (weather, location context, background reading, maps) alongside the time. Visiting a page that displays this content means your browser (or our server, on your behalf) requests it from:
- Open-Meteo — weather data and geocoding (no API key or account required by Open-Meteo; requests are made server-side).
- Wikipedia / Wikimedia — the "Local Vibe" summary text and photos shown on city pages.
- Google News — headlines shown on city pages.
- OpenStreetMap contributors / CARTO — the map shown on city pages.
- Vercel — hosting, content delivery, and analytics infrastructure.
Each of these operates under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review if you have concerns about a specific provider.
Children's privacy
worldtimes.ai is a general-audience utility site and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
You can clear saved Meeting Planner groups and theme preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site. Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights over data processed on our behalf — including the right to know what's collected, to request deletion, or to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information. Since we don't operate user accounts or collect personal information directly, most such requests would concern third-party services listed above (particularly advertising cookies, once enabled) — see their respective policies for how to exercise those rights, or contact us and we'll help point you in the right direction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, when we connect an ad network or add a new feature that changes what data is collected. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
